Cook your own dish

At work or at home

Whether it is with your peers at work or with your dearest ones at home, cook the dish of your preference and host the feast. It is all about celebrating the rich and vibrant cultures of Australia.

For some people, having the opportunity to share dishes from their grandparent or their family heritage with their friends is a treasured experience. Dust of that family cookbook and try the dishes your grandmother used to make when you were a child.

Or celebrate diversity and inclusion in the workplace by having dishes representing your colleagues’ traditions.

Founder and CEO of ASRC, Kon Karapangiotidis loves to cook “as it is both opening a door to my heart and home and creating a safe and nurturing space to share our journeys, joys and hope”. Kon will be holding his own feast this year, cooking a variety of dishes, from personal favourites to Greek traditionals and a sampling of the dishes offered to you by our Feast for Freedom cooks Genet, Hamed and Veronica.

Whatever you choose to eat, you can make it a feast and share your own family stories and fond cooking memories with those people you hold dear.
