Celebrate what unites us by hosting a Feast for Freedom in your workplace or hospitality venue – it’s a meal that makes a difference.
As a host this year, you can take your colleagues or clients on a culinary journey, discovering new foods, cultures and traditions while raising funds to support the ASRC.
If you own or work at a hospitality venue, you can take part in Feast for Freedom and make a difference. You might host a ticketed event, dedicate a portion of sales to donate or offer an exclusive item for Feast Week.
We’ve also partnered with A Taste of Harmony, which means your workplace Feast can make an even bigger impact in celebration of cultural diversity at work with exclusive access to useful A Taste of Harmony factsheets whilst raising funds to support and empower people seeking asylum.
Four Easy Steps

1. Register to Host a Workplace Feast for Freedom
Simply register your event here and kickstart your fundraising with a donation to your Feast fundraising page.
Feast Week is Monday 20 – Sunday 26 March, but you can host your Feast outside of these dates if that's more convenient for you. However, all Feasts should be hosted before Sunday 30 April.

2. Receive your Host Kit & Meet our Cooks
Discover the recipes gifted to you by Benny and Esmat, learn more about their stories and start planning your menu.

Our Cooks, who are refugees in Australia, have hand-selected delicious dishes from their own cultural traditions for you to cook and share with your guests - alternatively, you can encourage colleagues to bring a dish from their own cultural heritage. You’ll receive their recipes (and more) in your Host Kit.
You could nominate a few people to cook the recipes from one of our Cooks or turn your Feast into a pot-luck celebration by inviting people to bring along a plate of their own family favourites to share.

3. Plan your Feast & Start Fundraising
Invite your guests and start fundraising by updating and sharing your fundraising page! Make sure you let your donors know the impact of their support.

Please note: we do not provide any ingredients or cooks for the recipes. You will need to purchase your own ingredients based on your menu and anticipated guest numbers.
If cooking is a challenge, order in! If you’re based in Melbourne, our award winning social enterprise ASRC Catering can assist (we’ve included an exclusive offer in your Host Kit).
Once you’ve made a plan, share the event details with your colleagues, with your fundraising page link so they can donate towards your workplace fundraising goal. If you need help updating your fundraising webpage, see our User Guide.
You can also join our Facebook Group where you can ask questions about hosting a Feast, share recipes and become part of our ever-growing Feast community.
