Tine to share some food for a cause

I’m making a difference fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom this March to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

Sunday 28th Apr
We held our Feast for Freedom last night finally, and explored some of the dishes from this year and the archive as well as some other recipes I've picked up along the way. A good time was had by all, and we learnt a lot using the conversation cards to trigger deep discussion about the struggles faced by asylum seekers in a new country which helped emphasise where the money was going.
