Story

I'm super excited to be hosting a Feast again this year for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

It's crazy out there in the world and we are so so fortunate with what we have, our community, our place in the world and our big wonderful hearts. 

This year I'll be making dishes from a very special cook book that was given to me for Christmas, "Zaitoun" Recipes and stories from the Palestinian kitchen. 

Every dollar we raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

My heartfelt thanks to all who who came and so generously donated their time, their help and their case to such a great cause - now more than ever we need to act in solidarity to support those displaced by disaster. Your contribution goes a long way to those in need. Thanks for making it such a special night! Extra special thanks to Helen Martin for taking us on the refugee journey, to Jo Bevo for her wonderful box of goodies for silent auction, and to Liz Zanella for her donation of time and care through the treatment room.

I'll make you all an amazing 2-3 course feast, you donate the equivalent of a dinner out to the ASRC via my fundraising page. We'll also have some gorgeous items to raffle on the night, as well as an engaging activity that helps us understand the plight of refugees.
