Story raising money for one of my favourite charities whilst enjoying the company of friends

I’m making a difference fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom this March to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

Gardening Gal's Feast 6th April eve

Sunday 7th Apr
Seven members of our gardening group wth their partners and 2 year old Rueben  gathered in Harcourt to share their Persian (Iranian) cooking and raise money for ASRC . Members cooked a variety of ASRC recipes including Esmat's Iranian Recipe. Dessert was Persian love cake and Halva with locally grown figs. The food was delicious and we had a fun night. We were particularly delighted to see from some scarlet robins as everyone was arriving
