Eggplant with dry shrimp
I’m making a difference fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).
I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom this March to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.
This is a meal that makes a difference and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.
Please make a donation to help me reach this goal.
Thank you.

Good cause
I feel proud to be a part of this cause. I remember during the Civil War in 1971 how I felt when my family decided to stay in India instead of travelling to Pakistan. My mother was the one who made the decision to get off the bus and join others. My father had no choice but to join her. All the people from East Pakistan said out out 'Joy Bangla! Joy Bangla!. I was only seven years old. I remember staying in houses with three or four other families until Bangladesh became independent. I can relate to wanting to escape and finding a good place to live. That's when the first High Commission of Bangladesh was established in New Delhi and my father worked there.
