Grace and I are hoping to make a difference fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).
We doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom on March 27 to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.
This will be a Malaysian meal that makes a difference, inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. The event will be at Renata’s and it’s BYO drinks. We are asking for a minimum donation of $55 per person - if you can afford it.
Every dollar raised will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum. Grace and I are donating our time and the ingredients. In the past we’ve had helpers who have generously assisted us in the food preparation and on the night, so feel free to volunteer!
