For Those Who Can't
Hi folks,
I’m hosting a Feast for Freedom meal on Saturday 29th March@1pm (location TBA) to raise funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).
Every dollar we raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.
You can participate by a) donating and then come to the 'bring a plate lunch' or simply b) donate, if the day and time and event doesn't suit you, or c) bring a plate or d) none of the above :)
Please let me know how you would like to participate.
BTW: It's not meant to be a heavy occasion, but we will have five minutes of silence to give thanks for not having to flee our homes.
And to have a think about what 5 items you would take with you, if you did have to suddenly leave, knowing you probably wouldn't ever be returning.
Closer to the time I'll provide more details about the lunch, depending on numbers, in the meantime, please make a donation to help me reach this goal.
